Just bought bounty hunter, suggested use for beach use?

Just bought a bounty hunter, suggested use for beach use?

i literally bought a metal detector last night. I have not used it. I will reply with a model number later. But what suggested settings would you do if you are searching on a beach? I am going to one for a family reunion and want to test this thing out. any suggestions would be appreciated.

It depends on which detector you bought. What beach are you hunting? Usually you can't go into the shore line where it's wet, but in most cases the dry sand is fine.
