I had to do it......I like the sov gt so much had to have one for the water.... I'm thinking I really dont need the sov now, I can use waterproof connectors and be able to use my wot for the beach......

If anyone is interested in my Sand shark its gotta go.... $450 shipped

And the gt 750 shipped..........

leave ur self a back up u never know with the excal i spent 2 months with out a good detector when my excal was in the shop

Tom is 100% correct Brian.... the excal's are known for being say, "not as rugid" as say a Fisher CZ-20/21....I would not be too hasty to get rid of my GT too quickly. I personally know people that have switched to the GT from the excal because they really don't go in the water any deeper than waist deep, and the GT is much more durable than the excal.....

George

Good points.....I've bought 3 detectors in the last month, so I am a little cash strapped.....I should have bought the excal in the beginning, i knew thats what I wanted.....

That's a good lesson..... Always buy what you want, its cheaper in the long run.......

Bornto - I did what you said you should do - knew I wanted an excal, and got it for myself; decided to get the sov gt too! so, I have a backup either way. I need to get a straight shaft for the excal, but other than that, all is good with it. For land use, it will be the sov gt, and if the excal needs to be worked on, will use the gt and just not go in so far; but there are some areas, I'm just going to have to dive to get to the good stuff - and for that, I wanted the excal. I'm early on the learning curve for it, but it's coming - sheesh there are boatload of tabs out there...
