Just bought a pinpointer

Have you tried Googling it? Usually somebody on some MD forum has posted something helpful. I use a Falcon, not many of those out there.

The automax is the only pinpointer i use. My buddy had a white's bullseye pinpointer and would constantly call me over to check his digs. The whites was useless. The automax is extremely well built and suited for probing. 1 battery will last for months of constant use. Adjustable sensitivity is very useful and will get good distance from probe. The only downside is the size, a bit bulky. I would recommend going to your local ace hardware or home depot and getting a belt clip style tape measure holster. Very inexpensive. Then cut a round in the bottom of the holster about the diameter of the probe. You now have a cheap pinpointer holster that you can add on to. This is an old pic. I've since ditched the buck knife and trowel and just use the Ames digger from home depot in place of both. Digs much like a lesche but much cheaper, around $12. Good choice on the automax!
