I just had to post how much I'm impressed with the Pro Pointer. I will never do without another one.

Yeah, they will certainly spoil you. I won't even think about going detecting without mine now. I just wish I hadn't waited so long to get mine!

[size=large]you need to protect the speaker area from mud. it can get clogged and although garrett says it can be washed, you can't flood the speaker area.
as far as i'm concerned there is no better md buddy. was thinking of wrapping in a larger sandwich bag.

Wait until you forget it one time :rage:

I just periodically replace the piece of duct tape I put over the speaker to keep mud out. And I can still hear it chirping just fine.

My Ace 350 and Pro Pointer are a deadly combination. I was detecting a soccer field this morning and didn't want to make large holes in the grass.
When I got a coin signal I loosen the soil with a screwdriver and stick the Pro Pointer in the hole and wiggle it around. I can usually pop a coin out with the screwdriver or my finger.
I dug over $5.00 worth of clad this morning. It was a good day here in Florida.
