Hello i was wondering any one try the 6inch minelab 18.75klhz coil? Is it any good just ordered one not recieved it yet want to use it for jewlry.

From what I can tell it will be a killer little coil. On my 305 I was getting the old beaver tail pull tabs at 8 inches!!!!!! MO

This little coil is dynamite. I'll always have an X-terra in my arsenal if for no other reason than this coil. It will separate goodies out of some of the worst trash I've ever detected in and has amazing depth for its size. Now, like all coils it won't TID as deep as it will go, but if you're coin hunting in heavy trash it'll get the job done.

To be honest I hated mine for about a week. Just so dag gone small. Then I started goig to places I had already hunted and started finding alot more coins. I hunted one spot that has been hunted to death and i pulled out three old coins. I swing it very slow though. I found my oldest coin with it 1877 seated quarter that a friend had just went over with another high dollar detector (different brand). I air tested pennies at almost 10 inches and nickels reading the most at a litte over 10 inches . I know it will not go that deep in ground , but I dig plenty at 6 inch plus with it. I use that coil more that coil more than the stock coil.

Yes

Hot little coil with outstanding separation. Depth is respectable also. For jewelry, I'd be very suprised for you to be dissapointed.

That will be my next coil for sure.

Well i finally took it out to a park i had picked pretty clean and its fantastic. I found some interesting variety of coins a few trinkets and even a ring first day out with the coil. Even though its a fake ring not gold or silver its still a ring and that tells me this is gona be one hell of a ring getter. I also dug a plug and placed a nickel in the hole and it was reading at about 4and a half inches down iding it as a 45 on my xterra 50. It may even read nickels up to 5 inches wich is good for a small coil. Thats pretty good for a little coil. Happy hunting to all
