Just an idea for the Enfield cleaning

Taking some other suggestions and putting a spin on it.

I am going to place some bricks end to end on a sheet of plywood on my garage floor to make a narrow trough to lay the stock in. A little wider at one end for the butt end.
I will take a long sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil to line the trough, lay in the stock, and pour in BLO and turp or denat alchohol ,and fold over the top to stunt evaporation.
I will test it at one hour to see if it loosens the crud with less elbow grease.

My weekend is planned :)

gently clean the stock first with some 4 0 steel wool then follow the directions on the whiting. BE PATIENT and keep the heat lamp at a distance.
If the steel wool seems to coarse for your particular stock then use burlap instead. After you have it clean and all the oil out of it i'll then tell you how to steal mummys iron and get any dents out that it probably has.

The ones we got are missing the butt plate, but they sent new ones.
I will definately place a bid.
Thanks
