Just a thought...

If the detector is computer controlled, does that mean the tones and frequencey for output is software controlled ?
Just wondering if that means the tones could be changed for those whom have hearing losses in certian frequencies?

i wish!!!! i asked a tech at fisher about this, he said no.

It could probably be done easily enough. Just have to convince the powers that be that enough people would go for it to make it worthwhile. I had a similar question for Dave a while back about adding a mid tone for non-ferrous targets that read above 40 but below the disc set point which I thought would be kinda cool. Short answer is that they are just too busy with other projects to consider it.

I'd love to see them develope the Gold Bug Pro into a new unit with the features of the F5 with it's 4 tones options and freq options and the 4 controls.
