JUST A THOUGHT ABOUT WATER PARKS

TRIPLE-SSS

Well-known member
I was just thinking about all those rings and different jewelry that people loose while going to water parks. Just imagine the potential that you would have from all the different slides and attractions that these parks have. Wandering what the chances would be to ask for permission to scope these areas out after the season ends.

You talking indoor or outdoor. I guess it would be better to ask if it's a 'pool' with a solid bottom or soil. I visited the machinery room in an major indoor park. The man in the filter room who maintains the equipment has a strainer that stops object like rings, gum, hair, etc, from getting into the sensitive part of the filtration. There is a current in the pools and people thrash it. Sooner or later what's lost makes it to the drain and that strainer. Talk to the guy who does the maintenance and ask him to show you his collection.
My bet is the management insists he turn everything over to the company in the event that somebody lays a claim to a lost item. We both know what happens to the items not claimed. It certainly doesn't go to the maintenance person. It would be nice to think the water park donated the lost valuables to a local charity. jim

Might be better to just use a mask and snorkle to find the goodies while people are swimming. I would doubt they would let you in there with a detector during the off season. I asked to do the same thing at the little beach they have at Moody Gardens in Galveston, they quickly said "no". HH
