I want to thank everyone who has gone above and beyond to help me out with questions and equipment. I've used many machines and brands in my 15 + years of detecting but never had such a friendly helpful bunch of people on any other forum as this one. My very first detector was a Sovereign, and After I sold it it seemed no matter what I tried I didn't feel as confident. To this day I kick myself for selling it. Anyway you all are great folks!

Yes the Sovereign is a great detector and many that sold there either didn't spend the time to learn it,or too big of a hurry to try something different but when they decided to try another Sovereign after seeing what others were finding tried one again and wish they never sold the first one they had. I feel that many found the 180 meter made the difference as they could see what their ears were hearing as some of the tones were so close together, this way they were able to pick out the good targets in with trash items much better. The Sovereign is real hot on nickles as I am sure you have been seeing while leaving the pull tabs in the ground for others.
Once you know your Sovereigns you will always have one on reserve in you selection of detectors as we know what they can do. I also seen those that really know their Sovereigns are also some of the more helpful people on the forums and want others to do well.
