I went to a local fishing hole to look for a ring today and may have taken over the title for the Junk King. I did manage to locate some clad but mainly I found fishing junk and it all sounded good. After about 3 hours I gave up and this is what I took home.......If only lead were gold.......
HH and good luck to all the surf pirates

Holy cow! That's a whole mess 'o' sinkers there!

Hey Tim: I don't know where your fishing hole is, a few years ago a friend and myself went to this beach. There where 2 guys already detecting, however, they were leaving in frustration. We ask them if they had found anything. They replied and showed us an apron full of "SINKERS". We went back over where they just left. I popped 4 gold rings that day. They seem to sink close to the same depth, or they just were not listening for the right tone after digging a loud sinker. I would go back and re-work that area....HH, Tony form Tidewater
