I'm still smiling.... I took my son back to Boston yesterday and once again invaded Mass. for some detecting...

The hunt started with 30 minutes of... not much... Then I got a 35 conductive signal @ 5"...

A neighbor came by the spot I was hunting and talked to me and asked if I would like to check his yard... The yard of his colonial house... ahhh.... Yes please... Thank you... Thank you thank you....

The next 6 hours yielded...

Pat... the 1818 was 12/44 12/45... popped 12/46 in the middle but I was suprised the the copper appeared by the signal...

The 1851 was even lower... 12/42 12/43ish...

I was suprised by both...

Thanks Paul.That was a great hunt. I can't wait to get out with mine. The ground is so dry here. We need rain bad. I want to got back to some areas that were productive in the past but the grass is too dry right now and I don't want to leave any brown spots.

Nice job Paul - that 1818 largie is spectacular all by itself in my book, but combined with all the rest of your finds is icing on the cake.
 
Paul did you check out the 1818 there are many variants some quite scarce. I will check for which variant too as soon as I get the time.
