Jumped out between the rain

Been raining since yesterday and forecast shows rain for a couple more days - but got out this late afternoon when there was a break.
I had just replied recently to a post that I haven't got a ring yet with the Vision:veryangry: but did state that it was a matter of time.
Well I just had to take advantage on the rain break to get little Vision time in - and hit 3 rings - rings - I should have responded to the post by saying nice gold rings
It started to sprinkle so I took a little shelter underneath a line of 5 trees. I figured I'll detect a path to the far tree which would be closer to the SUV, then see how the rain goes. The rain was increasing so I figure I'll speed it up then just head home once I reached the last tree. Figured I'll focus only on readings of 4 inches and less to speed thing up. The grass/weeds about 6-8 inches in most spots but netted a watch (works), bracelet, and some little "Y-A" clip thing just hidden on the surface soil. The rings are not much but at least I broke the skunk streak and got my Vision some time - now it's a good steady rain. No silver coin today:sadwalk:

That's not bad for quick "get out"! (Bet it was fun seeing that variety of stuff pop out.) Memorable little hunt! Came home after work and the ground is soaked so no night hunting tonight. Na...Bet Ill just have to get muddy. (Next house I have is going to have a mudroom.)

WTG Tag , Did you get a VISION of what else is in the ground?????? Mic

One of my favourite Nat King Cole songs is, "Here comes that rainy day".

Maybe you've heard of it?

It could become your theme tune now that you Have a Vision/V3....Well done Tab.

Best wishes for some more rainy days.............TheMarshall

I'll go back sometime I hope to see what else is there since I hit less than 1/4 of the spot - I also didn't dig some deeper coin hits - maybe I should have.

Sure have - lol - makes a nice cool hunt as long as the winds don't get carried away - soil conditioning weather helps.

Hi Tab,
green with envy here, but I need more info.

How was your V set-up, what were the vdi's on
the watch and rings, and what did the analyze
screen look like?
Thankx Randy

ps: the farmers here tell me "if you like to eat, we gotta have rain."

Well to be honest, I was using the Coin & Jewelery program, ID Tone ON, 5-Band filter, and a couple other minor tweaks.
Now here is the kicker - I listened to the audio for either a good repeatable or a couple high tones. On the watch & bracelet I didn't get a good consistent analyze, anything like a good coin hump. I only used the analyze for a couple sweeps. I swept from a few angles, and if I could get a good tone hit here and there, I check. But I didn't pay much attention to the VDI either because it was jumpy. I used the audio mainly this time. If I could get a good repeatable like a coin, then I spent a little more time with the display in analyze. One coin I'm sure was mostly on edge (side of the plug) and I notice there was a dip before the nice coin hump appeared. This will be something for me to watch. But the watch & bracelet - I had no idea. Just sometimes sounded good, was shallow so I'm glad I didn't pass on it.
