Jumped into the hole today

:jump: Not much but did come away with a few interesting things. The Arizona driver's lic. in the wallet has the guys address. I will mail it to him as there is no Phone number on any of his paperwork. Anyway it had a $50 so I will use that to pay postage and send him the leftover. I will request that he send me a card telling me when it was lost. I know he will be very surprised to get it back. It had credit cards from just about everybody that issues them. a PADI cert card plus a membership card from his church in Mesa Arizona.

One Kodak digital camera that has drowned. It did however have a 256 MB SD card that will work just like new. I have recovered these before and the water never seems to hurt them. My camera will not use the memory card but I will load the contents into the computer later. Hah, I just opened the card. I will post a couple photos from it. Maybe someone here will recognize a friend. Wouldn't that be a miracle.

It looks like it was on the bottom for some time so he will be surprised. This came from a waterfall swimming hole out in the jungle.

Got a watch with correct time, a nice Gerber folding knife and a fakie diamond stud which I found by eyeball. That was sort of a miracle/accident as visability was about 5 inches.
Someone walked home as his car keys and all were under much mud 35 feet down in the roots and leaf slurry.

All in all a fun day.:beers:

A 30 foot hole huh? Are you scuba diving or using a hooka with an extension or what? Is this how you normally aquire yer loot. Thought you were a surf hunter. Tell me more Goldringer.....I'm all ears.....you may revolutionize the sport as it were! I do a little lurking on the underwater forum, but am not certififed and figured it would be kinda difficult to recover treasure in our murky Texas waters. There are however some lakes and swimming holes, now that you mention it that are relatively clear.

Well, I use SCUBA when necessary. I find clear water not to be very productive. I love the dirty stuff where few will care to lurk and where those little trinkets just dissappear. I have tried Hooka but don't like it. I would rather tank it. I am frequently in very rough water and hooka would be nearly impossible to control, sometimes just not possible. When you are in 8 feet of water with 10 foot waves coming down it is like working in a washing machine. One must hunt where there are things to hunt.
