Hi,, I am looking to buy some Garrett AT Pro coil connectors.....Prefer new but would take some used ones.....Thanks....JJ

What do you mean buy coil connectors, Coil bolts maybe????

Hi, I'm looking for the plug,,jack,,connector thingy that the coil has on the end.....You know the thing that is hard to get into the machine.......JJ

Those are tough to locate. I think they may be a Garrett exclusive. I ended up having to cut my coil wire and put an adapter inline to be able to use other coils. If you do locate a source, please let me know how to get them too!

Garrett Exclusive. They are not going to give them up. A few of us asked for them when the AT Pro came out so we could make an extension cable to chest mount the AT Pro. No dice. You will have to cut into a coil wire as already suggested.

Hi,, My 6" X 9" coil did not seem right it was falsing so I took it off the machine and was thinking about sending it back.....I had it just laying in a shallow box and I went outside for a minute to get the mail,, when I came back in I seen that the dog chewed the end off and ate it........So now I have a 6" X 9" coil that is useless........Thanks Garrett.......JJ

I sent pictures to several of my electronic suppliers after I couldn't find them. Most of them told me they couldn't get them either. I'm sure one day the secret will surface as to who is making them. I'm sure Garrett isn't the manufacturer.

Garrett is the kind of company that just might fix it up for you. Tell them your story. Tell them if they fix it you will give them a very positive write up on Findmall. Let us know.

Hi, Yeah I agree it's best to go straight to the source....Now it seems that I'm stuck between a rock & a hard place.....I was going to try the coil out one more time before sending it back....This coil did not seem right from the get go....JJ

Jimmy,
I hope you have your connector replaced by now. I've bought several detectors from Garrett over the past 15 years...i lived and worked in the Dallas area as a land surveyor for many years and picked up metal detecting back in '95/'96. I have a GTAX 1000 and wanted them to change out the connector on the 8 1/2" crossfire coil to the older style so that i could hunt with the 3x7 crossfire eliptical coil that the scorpion gold stinger uses. (killer little coil...great in trashy areas and still gets near the same depth as the 8 1/2 concentric coil, it only tends to push up a notch on ID) One day i got off work early and drove over to the factory, Mary was still working there at the time (retired) and for around $7 they took my machine out back and in just a few minutes i had my machine fitted with the male connector and the coil wire fitted with the female connector. the coil wire cannot be replaced, only shortened to be reconnected..i lost minimal wire length..maybe 1 1/2". don't ever hesitate to call the factory about any problems..972-494-6151 or 800-527-4011.
Mr. Garrett and Co. take care of their customers and truly do want us detectorists to get the most use and enjoyment out of their products.
P.S. the dog chewed on the wire, not Garrett...they will let you know if the coil itself is bad or get you back up if it is only the wire, just call and explain the situation.
