Sorry all clumped together in one day.
This post lumps the holiday weekend into one group. Sorry, but after my friend died I just put everything together and tried to relax.
7 pieces of gold. How many have found a gold 4 tooth bridge??? First time for me!! That must have been one expensive loss!!
One ring is Detroit Central High class of 1929 10K. The school is no longer. Another ring is a womans wedding band inscribed LJ to FJ June 27th 1917, 18K. Another ring has a triangle on top with the initials CTH and the date June 1926. The ring with the parrot is 18K and it has a diamond for his eye and unknown stone in his beak. Last mens ring is a 14K wedding band. Other gold is a cufflink.
Four silver rings, (Actually I had five. ( I have the stone on one that seemed to have been misplaced right now) 3 silver bracelets, one is a WW2 name rank serial number and blood type. Also a silver religeous medal.
Other jewlery, two brass rings, old copper bracelet, stainless steel bracelet, A Rosevelt pin, Old brass jewlery with a stone of some kind, and 2 watches including a complete pocket watch.
Coins,
1916 Barber quarter, 1930 Standing liberty, a no date standing liberty, 3 silver Washingtons. A merc and 2 silver roseys, 1909 V nickel and a 1902 indian, and 12 wheats.
My usual finds include locks, buckles, boat parts, lighters, tools, glasses, spoons, keys, bullets, and fishing equipment. I did find a couple of old wood lures again. And of course another horseshoe. One more and I can get a horse!!
Unusual finds are the handcuffs which are very old because only one link in the middle and the small animal trap. Other unusual finds are the eyglass casses, one with eyglasses in it that are old. The other I haven't tried to open yet.
The finds I like the best are the old bottles, Mason's Patent Nov 30th 1858 and CALNON & CRONK MINERAL WATER DETROIT. The brass plaque reads: Michigan Steel Boat Company Makers of Patent Steel Boats, Detroit Michigan U.S.A. Pantent No. 681363, and of course another brass prop.
Tootsitoy fire engine is neet and the lantern part was a suprising find.
Anyway, it will take years for me to clean out this spot. I will be having a lot of fun there in my spare time. Anyway please enjoy the picts. Not sorted exactly right but most all is there.
