Looking for digging partners around Joliet IL, willing to travel within reason...

I have heard there are a few guys around the area that do a lot of yard digging, I would like to figure out how to do that. There are a lot of older homes in the Plainfield and surrounding areas. There are some old home sites I been scouting but have not tracked down the owners yet,,I have been around to a few spots but would like to find some nice spots to hunt. I have an ATPRO and a Fisher F2 and enjoy getting out and digging.

Does any one know if there are any parks or places in Plainfield / Joliet or even any of the surrounding areas that would be a good place to detect? I wonder if the rest stops would be legal?? been contemplating stopping at those to look around....

I am looking for a good magnet to put on a pole, I wonder if Harbor Freight sells them??? I think I will try river hunting this year,,,it seems like it could be fun, and since my AT Pro is water proof I just need to doctor up my pin pointer a little. I need to find some good spots to hunt.

I have some strong rare earth mags that have a countersunk hole in them to screw on the back of a handle. I made some pics for river hunting. If your going to hunt the river at electric park ,your going to need a floating sifter since its a rocky bottom. I made mine from pvc with a hardware mesh attached to it. I just use a dog leash to clip it on to me and let it float...
