with a 1891 Portuguese 20 Reis (how the heck did that get in Oklahoma?). It's a bronze coin the same diameter as a half dollar. It's worn pretty slick but who cares! Also found a 1952D wheatie; a 1954D Roosevelt dime, and a the nicest .925 silver ring I've ever found.

Sweet you are going to love it !!!

Very nice You around OKC area? You should join out site. http://okmdclub.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Congratulations on the find, does make you wonder how the coin ended up where it did. Can you post a picture?

Randy, sorry I don't have a digital camera. That's something that I need to buy next with my nickels and clads. The coin is pretty smooth and with the patina, what remains of the image is difficult to see unless held at the right angle.

Bart, Thanks. I am in the OKC area.
