An explanation: Scott's my brother. We don't get together that often, living as far apart as we do, but he gave me my first exposure to metal detecting last fall while we were visiting our parents in Vancouver.

I didn't tell him that I was going to buy a detector, but as he says, he knew I'd do it. Makes us even. He went out and bought a guitar just a while ago after listening to me go on about mine.
