John Wilkes Booth penny?!?

that bullet is a pellet I used to shoot zinc pennies and that was fun, but those pics make me want to shoot a copper penny just once.

Wonder if it was shot mid-air?............................PULL!

Smitty

That had to have been shot at nearly point blank. I suppose it could have been mounted in a molded slot ans shot with t pellet gun, but I still seriously doubt that the rifle would have impresses the penny near that much. I've shot all kinds of things with pellet rifles over the years, some even today, and to make that impression...it was a 20 or 22 cal and up close, solidly mounted. martin

I agree :super:

I don't know Im a pellet gun hunter and have 2 pellet rifles that make over 1000 feet per second. thats pretty near a 22 LR's speed. these pellet rifles are pretty powerful. I can shoot through one side of a deer's skull at a little over 20 yards. problem is they are powerful but not very accurate.

I have a Gamo Big Cat 1200 Pellet Rifle. I haven't shot it in awhile but like antibeous said they are very powerful. Mine is a squirrel killing machine.

I heard from some of the old timers that there was a famous sharpshooter living around here back in the 40's/50's. Apparently he won many awards...
