John! Is there a dot on mine?

Crazy, l just dug up a 1936 as well. I remembered your post about finding the same coin the other day and commenting on the dot issue. I checked mine and of course it's corroded just enough to tease my brain...but I think I see something. It's probably nothing, but I'd like some opinions. The last pic is of a real 1936 dot...

They have ways of checking and seeing if it's authentic! If it's the real MCOY.....You owe me a couple of cold ones. All the best of luck to you:thumbup:

You have gotten the Garrett Gals attention with your post......;)

Hard to tell. Try using a 10 power loop, that should bring it out. Use a flashlight because you have to get super close with a 10.
Good Luck. Ron

That looks pretty convincing.
Good luck in your quest.

Should I try to clean it a wee bit to see better, or send it away to have it looked at? I live in the boonies and don't get anywhere near a coin shop very often...

Next time you go to the big city check with a coin dealer.
If its real don't lose site ot it , someone may do the switch-a-roo on you.
Good luck:thumbup:

Turns out its the real McCoy, and I'm rich I tells ya...RICH!!!

But seriously lol...I haven't had a chance to get to the city to have someone look at it. I wish I could get the crud off of it so I could see better. Anyway, I will report what I learn about it when I can.
