Other than being Orange, and water proofed. Is the new Garrett pin pointer any different in electronics ???

There was a post and you tube video that said that the falsing from bending or pressing the probe has been fixed.

There are also useful a few functionality enhancements also as seen in the instructional video
- instant push button sensitivity re-tune (no longer have to power off/on to re-tune)
- 3 levels of sensitivity adjustment with audio plus vibrate
- 3 levels of sensitivity adjustment with vibrate only
- and as mentioned.... I've yet to get it to false

Thanks Frank ............

Yes.....it's more stable, doesn't go off when you put some pressure on the tip and gets even better depth then the other model in program #3.

last week I purchased Garrett pin pointer At, and field tested it three times on different days and was not impressed with it at all, :ranting: very disappointed with it would not change mode's no matter what, I pulled the battery and installed a new one with now luck at all it would only stay on vibrate  checked Garrett web site and followed the vid to the ti and still the same problem so I packed it up headed back to the store for a full refund as far as I'm concerned the At pin-pointer is a peace of JUNK

Sorry for your bad experience. But on the other hand calling it JUNK is (in my opinion), immature.

I would not call it junk because you happened to receive a unit that was DOA or not working properly..
It's frustrating when that happens but if you bought it from a reputable source why not simply get it exchanged for a working unit?
You might just be pleasantly surprised.

These setbacks are simply a fact of life.
Several weeks ago I ordered a Sniper Coil for my ATPro and it was DOA (would not stop beeping, no matter what).
I was also very frustrated but failures happen, no big deal. It simply took a phone call and it was quickly replaced and the second one works perfectly.

I have two of the standard propointers, both under warranty. Until they are both dead I'll just keep going with these. They are good enough for now.
