John Edmonton or anyone What is the boink sound you are talking about do you hear on ace 250?

Most Garrett land machines have the Bell Tone Feature in them, including the ACE series. It has that distinctive sound, or as Garrett refers to it as "The Sound Of Money". It usually bell tones (or boinks ) when the coil goes over a coin. I love the feature. If you just dig the belltone sounds, you are basically going to dig mostly coins.

Just like taking candy from a baby...

My wife calls it the "slot machine sound" happens VERY often when you hit quarters and dimes that are fairly shallow.

That's the Belltone that indicates money. If you twitch the coil over certain targets it will sound like a phone ringing.
