...........can anyone please tell me why Garrett has placed a Preset mark on the Ground adjust dial???? If it is a ten turn control......and it is..... what is the point of a Preset??? Or am I missing something here? Thanks for your help/suggestions.
 
The preset dial on the ground adjust dial doesn't make any difference in auto-tune. In manual, it is just used as a reference point to help with ground balancing.
 
In motion disc mode ground balancing is automatic when searching for coins and such. When prospecting manual GB for more precise adjustment must be used..
