John, you seem to find an abundance of jewelry and silver in your area. How many hours per day do you average detecting and what are your favorite spots to hunt.

I'm in the southern California desert area and we must travel at least 20 to30 milest do do any serious detecting.

I average about 2-3 hours per day detecting and don't find nearly the amount of targets that you do.

Thank you for your reply to my last post, VDI Information. I'm just trying to help the people on the forum that have less experience and success than I have.

I average in the summer about 2 hours a day, then on my days off, I do 6-8 hr. hunts. My favorites are baseball & soccer fields. Second is water hunts. Winter is snow hill hunting. I hunt all year. I have been for 20 years....

Wow 20 years. I have to say once you get hooked on this hobby it is hard to stop. I'm a philatelic broker and that is about as addicting as this. I have been doing that for over 50 years.

Metal detecting is a way for me to get away from everyting and just be out doors and having a good time.

Have a great day and Good Luck hunting.

Sparkster, found any C3-As lying around? :)

I just read your post. You must be a stamp collector. Not everyone know's what a C3A is.

In answer to your post, no I do not have a C3A invert. I do have quite a few errors in my
stock including the Disney color missing error. C3A is probably one of the most noted of the
Inverts, but there are many others. I have some of the revenue inverts that are quite rare also.

I mainly deal in world wide stamps that catalogue from a few dollars to around 500 dollars each.
I have bee doing this for 50 years so my stock well represents the entire world.

Good luck to you in your metal detecting endeavors, happy hunting.
