.................has anyone tried the 8.5 inch Crossfire 2 coil on the GTP 1350? Would it work? I'm assuming that if the 4.5 inch Crossfire 2 works....that the 8.5 would work also?? Would it not make the detector balance better and feel lighter? What operational differences are there between the 7x10 Elliptical and the 8.5..........are they not both concentric? Has anyone used both of these........tell me what you found. Thanks.

The Crossfire is the original coil for several Garrett models. Stick with the PROformance as it is more sturdier and more stable.

I haven't but I sure would like to. I really like round coils. It is supposed to work well using a crossfire II Coil.

I've got a spare 8.5 Crossfire. I may see what it will work on. It came off my 550 when Garrett sent me the new PROformance coil to test on it.

Crossfire 2 coils work fine. You can get them on Ebay 2nd hand at good prices if you keep your eyes open over a few months. I got the 8.5 inch and 12 inch for an quarter of their original price and they were hardly used.
