Does anyone have an idea what this might be?

I was thinking that either it is a political rally pin, or maybe in remembrance and given out at the funeral.
It is aluminum and one and a quarter inch in diameter.
There is no markings on the back, just a small rust spot where maybe a pin attached.

It's from a Metal Typer machine popular in the 50's at dept stores, fairs etc. You paid a quarter and could type what ever you liked on it. Here's a pic of the face of one of the machines. You can see the style's on the face of the machine. That was probably Buckner's birthday

Thanks Diggin-Don

I thought it might be older (although being made out of aluminum was my first clue) because the area where I found it has normally produced early 1900's coins and stuff.

Have a great week!

Great Idea Carolina Phil.

I will have to look into this.
In the past I have had very little luck with a couple of older class rings because no owner alive, and not luck finding the correct information.

Thanks,
