I need some info on this piece of history.. just dug it and I believe it might be my best find ever.

Awesome find Calabash. I actually have seen more GW cuffs than the John Adams type and yours is in extremely nice and legible condition. Congrats!

my buddy said he had never seen one in 30 years of detecting. Thanks for the info..

ok I'm not a member there though ,tried but site was down or something awhile back.

My buddy found one over at heritage auctions that sold a couple years ago.... they have only ever handled 2. They said there are less than 10 known to exist.

That's my buddy right there. Calabash is one of the most amazing guys you will ever meet. I enjoy hunting with him and his knowledge of the XP Deus is unmatched. This find just proves his mastery of the machine and his ability to find spots where the real relics lie. Congrats buddy on this amazing find and saving a piece of important history. Glad to have you as a friend !

Holy KRAP! Outstanding relic. Colonial cufflinks are not unusual finds here but none I've seen with such a historical context. A friend came up with a badly corroded GW cuff button (not a cuff link) many years ago that was just ugly - but he took a $550 offer. He rarely has sold anything he's dug. The value of that cufflink must be into 4 figures, I'm not advocating selling it.
The rarity of the Adams cufflink is notable and ought to make a great story for one of the Th'er mags. Man, that is a career find.
Congrats!

thanks for the info ,I'm still flying high on that find. less than 10 known blows my mind. My buddy found that info over at heritage auction site. If you there please don't share out in the open what they sold for.

That is one cool relic, calabash digger! You sure have some good dirt to hunt! I always look forward to your posts. Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!

Awesome recovery. Makes you wonder why it was there and who was wearing it. This little thing has pedigree.

WOW, absolutely Awesome find. Major Congratulations. I know I most certainly I would not try to clean it without seriously professional advice. Man I am completely flipping over that find. Can you tell us what state you found that in ? TM
