Joey DD Pro

Yo all....Can somebody talk to me about the CT Joey DD Pro?....I've got the CT 18" DD Pro and love it...Does the Joey reach out in front like other DD's?....I'm interested in getting one because I'm frequenting a patch that's got lots of tight corners and gold ranging down to 12" or more, plus small surface stuff down to a couple inches....How does it compare to the ML 8" mono?....Thanks in advance for your help and opinions....Cheers, Ron

Hi Ron. My partner used one last weekend and was quite impressed. He has both the 8" and 11" and knows how to use them. With the Joey, he was able to get a couple of 1/2 dwt. nugs at about 4 inches. It got around and under the brush real good. Its weight is about the same as the 8 inch so that was not a problem. Its hard to say if the 8" or 11" would have found those 1/2 dwt's or not because I know we have found the same size at that depth before but with the ground mineralization variable, you would have to do a strict side by side comparison to be sure. For me, I love my 8" and the Joey is not on my list. I just do not see enough of a difference to jump out and spend the bucks at there are other toys that have a higher priority right now. Hope this helps and good luck.
Micheal
