joey coil

I bought the WOT and never liked it so I never bought this one, but I will be buying the new small SEF 8 x 6 as it seems to have gotten some very good reviews.

I mainly use it in trashy spots and it gets good depth. The deepest targets I have dug with it is in the 9"-10" range, targets a lot of the time being dimes or pennies. You can do the minelab wiggle with the nose of the coil and it can get between the trash pretty well. One thing to note about this coil is that you have to go slow and if you hear any type of signal you are looking for, just get over top of the target and proceed with the minelab wiggle. Usually if the target is good, the signal will then start to amplify and come in better. Pinpointing is dead on, just in front of the lower shaft and the coil feels super lite on the detector making for a nice long day of detecting without fatigue in the arm like some larger coils. I hope this helps and Good Luck and HH to you.

Stan... i think the biggest draw back to the coil is it ISNT water proof. For the price they want for it there are others on the market as good that are waterproof. Its one of the few good coils that isnt waterproof.
