Job update...

...I talked to my friend about the job and when I voiced my concerns he said he knew about them before he called me. Being with Brian during surgeries will be no problem. He even offered to work around my schedule with Brian if needed but wished I could work at least 40 hours per week so I would qualify for full time and get the added beneifts. I will earn sick time, paid vacations and they offer full medical, if I choose, and a 401k plan. The benefits I have now are....0...nada! I told him I would accept the position and I'm going to the store tomorrow to meet the owners and get the paperwork started. There is always the chance something will happen to change either their minds or my mind but at this point the job is mine. It's going to be hard to leave my present job because I really enjoy the atmosphere, my co-workers and the management team. I really don't have anything negative to say about my job except that I'm not making the income I really need. Plus, I have been witnessing to several of them over the past year and a half and almost hate to leave for that reason.

I'll let you know how things turn out tomorrow!!

Sounds like the way is clear and God is blessing you with something that will better meet your needs. I understand the mixed emotions of leaving good friends and 'work family' to move on to other things...and its not like you're moving out of the city, state or even country...you can always go back to chat with them..and with more income maybe buy from them when you need something they have available. And, who knows, you just might be seeing them come to your church...you've planted seed and hopefully they will desire the spiritual water to keep them growing. Sounds like a blessing for many. Keep the faith Doug...God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Prayers for your family keep coming to the throne for you and yours.
