Job offer.

I have been offered a sales job with a time share company. The job offered is a vacation consultant calling people who have requested info about the time share. It has a low base pay but fair commission plan with benefits after 90 days. It is the largest privately owned time share co. in the world. The hours are M-TH 3:30-10 and Friday 2-9 and every other Saturday 9:30-5. Off Sundays. Training would start Monday the 19th.

I also interviewed for another furniture store yesterday and this job, if offered to me, would begin after Christmas. The hours are M-F 9:30 to 6 except on Wednesday 9:30 to 12:30 and Saturdays 9-4. The store is closed Sundays. It has a better base pay but a weak commission structure with no possibility of advancement as it is a family owned store.

I've never sold time shares but like the hours because it would allow me to be with the kids when they are out of school and if Brian gets hurt or sick I can take care of him. Plus, I could still clean carpets during the day. or metal detect totally guilt free since I would have a job! On the other hand, it seems furniture sales is my niche and I am very comfortable in that setting. And, the sttore is established, almost 75 years old and I would be the only full time sales person.

The time share sales office is only 5 minutes away. The furniture store about 15-20 depending on traffic. Decisions, decisions.
Of course I haven't been offered the furniture store job and I'm going to follow up on it tomorrow.

Pray that I use my head and make the right decision!!

Thanks again everybody!!

God bless,

A whole lot of new jobs can be picked up easily. You would probably catch right on to the the time share one. Whenever I have a serious decision to make I list all the positives on one side and the negatives on the other and see what looks best. Of course some things , like detecting time :) , have more weight. Good luck, the Lord will show you what to do, I'll pray for the right one to happen, Steve in so az
