I could if got you them for arould $10 a box. When I got my pc it was on sale for $550.I told the manager I'd give him the $550 if he'd throw in norton and spy ware and bring it to the house and have the guy set it up too.He did.I had to buy new pipes for the car,it would of cost $250 I told him I'd give him $175 cash if he would do it in a hour.He said to give him a 1 1/2 hour,I said OK.Any time your dealing with a dealer do some dealing.Don't talk to the cleck, deal with the manager.90% of the time they well deal we you.Hey Ed, if someone walked into your store and wanted to buy ten cans of paint at $13.00 a can,Would you deal with him and sell the cans at $12.00 if he was going to try another store?

... I run my shop a bit different than some folks .... we don't price match competition ... if we did we'd have to raise too many prices to be the same as them. Sometimes we are higher, sometimes lower ... but usually not to the degree where it's worth the time and gasoline to go elsewhere.

Hardware is a bit different than lots of stuff .... like tires and clothing, etc. We have to have knowledge and spend time helping folks. We don't charge for our time like lawyers and doctors. We add value to many of the products we sell.

We also don't play games with cash sales to avoid / reduce sales taxes to attempt increasing profits. Over the years we've seen competition fail because they were too low in prices and could not earn an acceptable return on investment and generate the cash flow to replace sold inventory. I had a boss once tell me that he'd never seen a business fail that was profitable.

Customers who constantly try to haggle prices are not regular customers .... we see them only when we are lower or when we have something the other store does not have ... or only when we have a sale event going on and they only buy the sale items.... then they also try to haggle down the sale prices .... where we are already very close to our cost to replace the item.

I'll close out my business should we ever get to the point where my investment in equipment and inventory is returning less than I can make in financial investments.

Far too many customers think that every dollar rung up is a dollar of profit .... not true .... over the years, after all expenses are paid .... our after tax net profit averages about 5% to 10%. In todays economy we are lucky to make any after tax profit at all.

We are fortunate we have zero debt, we own our real estate. Our competition has lease / rent / commercial mortgage to pay .... we all have about the same employee and inventory expense. We are planning to be here serving our community after our competition is gone. Even Wal Mart dropped their marketing slogan of always being lower in cost.

I was goofing around Walmart a couple years ago and they were running a clearence in sporting goods. I got 10 boxs of 50 each on the 40 sw. They were at 4.50 each box. I bought all they had which was 10 boxes, wish they would have had more. I had about 4 boxes previously. so I have about 600 rounds left now. I don't shoot that gun much as I carry my bersa 380. I don't think I'll ever find a deal like that again. Can't give you a figure on what they are now as I have'nt bought any in a while.

Have load around 5000 44 Mag. A few 38 Special and some 357---Its been a long time since I have loaded---I am going to try to find most of the cases and get what I need to reload the 40S&W---I sure don't expect much recoil from them---Now my 454C does have a little bit of Kick Back---D. W.
