Jew's harp

steve in so la

Well-known member
This Jew's harp came out of an 1860's parade grounds, very near the enlisted men's quarters. I can just see him playing it as the Az sun sets in the west . His initials are on it, E K. I keep trying to remember to look up a list of names of the soldiers there to see what his was. Anyone know of a site that might have such a list ? The Historical Society might. Steve in so az

they are but dont look like a maker's mark. I'll have to look up a roster of soldier's that were there. EK is pretty unusual to find. Steve

Google and put in jew's harp and you will see all kinds of names - going back to about the 15 th century I believe. It's officially called a jew's harp tho, Steve
