these are my jewelry finds so far this season,some are sterling,the gold has been elusive!!

What machine are you using? Are you digging the trashy signals like pull tabs/beaver tails, and pennies? On my whites machines, I get an occasional gold ring in the 14-55 VDI number range. Hope that helps. less discrimination sometimes means more gold. IMHO

i've been using a couple machines,makro racer,etrac,and now cz3d..the cz is great on nickles,so i think sooner or later gold will show up if i keep digging,some days i get in the dig everything mood and others i coin shoot..

Heck I have been metal detecting for about 3 years. And still no gold. But I guess that is my fault. after 50 or so pull tabs I give up.

Just sayin'...I find more gold at foil than nickles, and big gold like class rings at low zinc where mostly other kinds of trash dwells.
Keep an eye out in other areas besides nickel.
