With all the new F series detectors from Fisher, I'm wondering if any have a mode comparable to the JE mode on the F-75? It always amazes me how the F-75 will detect super small items. Sometimes it takes hard looking with the FX-1 probe to locate the target in the dirt pile and turns out to be something the size of a metal filing. Micro-jewelery can't hide from the F-75.

I know what you mean. I found this with the F-70 at 4". It is a 14k ear ring backing. How much smaller can you get?

Those little things like the earring backing and small chains or pieces of them are why I swing a Tesoro over the dirt. Now if you start telling me that, as well as finding the small goodies, a F75 / F70 can transverse a salt water beach from the calf high suds across the wet sand and over the dry sand without resetting or falsing like my CZ's do, then I think I will need to get a F series for my birthday! But ya got me thinking about it anyway.

I would love to let you know how my F-70 works in salt water. I lived next to Daytona Beach for 16 years and have done a lot of Beach MD'ing. I know the hot spots, but sadly won't be detecting with the F-70 on the beach an time soon.

I've found the smallest bits of metal at depth using DE mode, Delta Pitch, and a sensitivity of 85. The F75 is a hot machine and I look forward to trying my hand at nugget hunting with it. - Jim
