January is BIG SILVER month (VID)

Got out for my 2nd hunt of the year Thursday after work. found some Wheat's, a steel wheat, and my oldest Indian Head Penny to date(186:geek:...... and, my first Big Silver of 2014, a 1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. I was using an Etrac with a 6x8 SEF Coil, running a TTF pattern (Thanks Bill S). this is my 6th Walker I've found since using an Etrac, so we have became great friends :D

Here are a few Pictures and a Video of my Find, Thanks for looking, DirtDiga...aka, looknforgold

Congrats! I hope I get to dig a HUGH silver someday

Congrats on finding the Walking Half ... what a fantastic way to start the new year ! :beers:

Thanks all.... only last year I dreamed of finding a Walker, but the Etrac had lead me to 6 of them now, so I feel blessed. I have yet to dig a Morgan or a Peace Dollar and a Seated Coin.... those are on my wish list now, if I can just find the right spot:unsure:

Nice Walker. Is that an S mint mark?

The ETrac does like silver half dollars. Mine has found 9 Walkers and 5 Franklins along with a half dozen or more clad Kennedy halves (that is in 5 years of use).

Seeing a large coin in the hole is a great feeling, especially when you can call it before you dig it, which I have done on at least 3 of my half dollars!

Nice catch... I didn't even see it, Thanks, here is a closeup of the back of my Walker. I had a feeling it was going to be Big Silver by the numbers I was getting. I think this made the 4th Walker that hit low ferrous numbers(1 thru 9) and hit llike 45,46,47,48 on the conductive side.. I would love to find another Silver Half, just not a Walker, LOL

Man.... all we get down south is a lot of Ice and Wind blowing about 40 MPH half the time, it's worse when it's winter time. GL up there, DirtDiga
