James hill house in cascade iowa

this is a picture of the house mr hill built in 1856 , a good friend owns it now i found the button and the badge a bout 3 ft apart about 7to 8 inches down by the big tree you see in the picture, the bellvue cascade narrow gauge railroad , started in cascade iowa and ended in bellvue iowa on the mississippi river .

That looks like an old tree, would have been a shady resting spot for many generations !:cool:
