Anyone ever MD in Jamacia.? carry on luggage best way to take metal detector ?Suggestions
 
the all inclusive resort and go on excursions that are planned. Try not to venture out on your own.

Break down your detector and pack it really good in the carry on. I have done both - carry on and checked. You feel better carrying it on vs. the possibility of not having it when you land.

A fellow in our club TCAS went to Ocho Rios on an all inclusive. He worked the beaches at his resort and brought home enough loot to pay for this trip and the next..22 gold rings plus some silver and clad. He had a couple with really nice diamonds, too. Remember, Jamaica is a honeymooners destination!!!!!!!!! Lots of lost gold and diamonds.....He did say he was glad he took his Stainless Steel scoop because the beaches where he was were rocky..HH
