Guys I want to thank you for the tips.
I went to a home site to learn how to better use the multi tone while hunting, found myself becoming discouraged due to all the tones.
After a short time I decided to leave this location and go to a small park that I take my girls to, due to all the clad they find (mostly pn's). I told myself that for no reason would I change back over to 4 tone CO on this hunt...something I found myself doing alot at the old house property. It took some time but when I began to hit good targets I started to notice what you guys were talking about ( the smooth sharp tone) for the coins and even dug some of the bad tones just to see (all trash).
I dug 12 PN's and 2 dimes, none being over 2'' and most right on top. For someone who has been hunting for many years this would sound like a waist of time, but to learn the machine I found this to be a great help in gaining confidence in the multi tone use and it felt like a new hobby again with each PN dug.LOL For those thinking of trying this feature of the ET..try going to a location like the one I went to. It really helped me alot and tomorrow I'm going back to the old house to try again. I'm sure it will still take some time but I feel now that I have a better understanding of it.
Tanks again and HH to you all!
