J-man got one of those new Detector Pro Pirates. Took it out for it's first run today, it performed well. Discriminates out iron, comes in loud and clear on clad and gold plated ring.........Nitro.........depth about 8 inches. Nice inexpensive machine for a backup or company to use.

Here we go.....Connecticut style.

I have the HH diver and its truely is a good powerful machine, great backup as you stated. ...pirate is based on that.
 
and it was an excellent machine......I also had the first generation HeadHunter PI which was good. The Pirate is well built for the money and will certainly do the job. But I love my Excal too!!
 
I know where you were... about 5 minutes from my house lol.... I was hunting north and east of you today... no camera so no pics of my stuff :(
