...It is gone-I have no desire for it,anymore...I just hurt so much all the time anymore,it is all I can do sometimes to drag my carcass to work...when I go to the Dr.;all he says it is this arthritis Ive got that is gettin me down...I wish I knew how to get it back;my detectors sittin in the closet dont serve ANY purpose, other than just to take up space...This isnt depression;I dont know what it is...Used to be a time you couldnt tie me down;I was out there with the best of em...Now;....

what you mean as I am that way each morning and I HURT all the time! Try to find a dr that will check you for Fibromyalgia as there are many systems that mimic other illnesses. Sinus problems, depression, arthritis and etc. or all a part of this illness! Go to www.fmaware.org and read what it says. My daughter has it and was just recently finally diagnosed by two drs after over 20 years of hurting. I have many of the same symptoms...it also affects you mentally and physically until it is hard to even do anything!

Hope this helps and may Jesus move upon us and heal our bodies, souls and minds with His wonderful healing virtue! Changing the way we eat is one way of controling the hurting and etc. I know I don't eat right and don't feel like cooking!

God Bless!

Hey dogface, I myself was in a place of despair not long ago. All hope seemed to be gone and life seemed to be going no where. The key word here is seemed. As you already know, the prince of this earth comes to wear down the saints. I read your forum titled the new guitar big hit and from what I read, you did a awesome job leading others to worship. keep seeking the Lord for his guidence and remember, "man plans his ways but God directs his steps" P.S. I heard somewhere that Emu oil is good for arthritis along with Glucosamine & MSM tablets or you can use the MSM spray or cream and use it directly on your hands, it works! and is all natural! Also try taking more Amino Acids for your thinking, it is something we dont get enough of in our diet, and it is really beneficial. email me if you need more info at sevenseassailed@yahoo.com. God Bless, Randy.

From the land of the Bluenose....have faith me son for the desire will return. A prayer and a hot bowl of clam chowder has been known to fix all.

I've had pains - alot lately but found out something that may be helpful. I used to take just 800 mg of Ibuprofen (Motrin)for the pains I had (carpal tunnel, some arthritis, pains from the pneumonia, etc.) And the Ibuprofen wasn't doing a real good job. Took Tylenol (acetaminaphine)and it helped some but didn't cut the mustard. My dear wife suggested take the Ibuprofen then when the next time to take the pills again switch to the Tylenol. Keep switching back and forth. Seems one is good for some pains and the other good for others and by switching back and forth it works much better than using one or the other. Don't mix them though. Don't take two of one and two of the other as it won't be effect.

My problem is trying to remember which one I took the last time so I can get the other the next time. I set the bottles on a shelf and as I use one I move it behind the other. The one in the front is the one to take next. That system works well unless someone is cleaning or moves the bottles then it is a 50/50 chance again.

If this works for ya like it does for me - grab the detector and get out. Don't let Satan get you depressed or he will win the battle.
Praying for you Steve.

...my job takes a LOT of energy, and I am NOT gonna sit around and watch the world go by past me...sometimes,I think I am my own worst enemy-I push myself to the point of exhaustion,sometimes...:wacko:I know now it is not a loss of desire for metal detecting-mostly,it is fatigue from my lifestyle...

Life is change. I went fifteen years without doing anything connected with THing, sometimes you need a break, Life is a race thats won by not going fast.
It sounds like you're making it harder on yourself for not having the feeling to get out there and detect.
Theres no law says you gotta be out there swinging every day, and if you force it, it'll become like a burden like a job you don't want to do.
It'll come back and it'll be better than ever because it'll be a real genuine desire to go out and discover something new. But if right now you aren't feeling it, well all you can do is be true to your feelings.
Its easy to feel guilty or lazy after making a large investment in detecting eqpt. or after spending so much prior time carefree having fun, but if you go against yourself the results can make the situation worse.
So Get out the Hagen-das and put on an old Charlie Chan movie, disconect the phone forget the news and lay low until your mood picks up. Mike T

Excedrin is a combination of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and Ibuprofen (Motrin) with a little caffein added as a kicker. You're asking for trouble by using 800mg of ibuprofen though. Unless prescribed by a doctor. I was told by a Physicians assistant that it was close to the drug that one of the pharmasudicals got sued for because it caused so many problems. Excess Tylenol can cause liver damage and excess asprin and it's close relative ibuprofen can cause stomach damage.

Well you came to the right place to lay down your burdens! We will pray for ya, now lay them at the foot of the cross!
