May not look like much but I'll take it! Its a 1868 2 cent piece. This one has eluded me for a quarter of a century.Found it today in an old house site that I've pulled a few seated dimes out of.I pretty much hit it with every detector I have came across. It was laying about 7-8 inches deep in a bed of square nails. The 1236 x-2 found it pretty easy with the 5 inch coil. silencer off iron disc locked in.
Ive run a lot of detectors in there. All the new high performance machines. The 1236 still reigns champion in the iron no matter what you here.Gotta love old school hunting. the older machines gives you little nuances the newer digital machine just cant obtain.
Just thought I would share with you in my excitement in obtaining another goal of mine.Got to get her soaking in some olive oil I'll post her again in a few weeks and see what she turns out like.
