I've gotten quite a few complaints of late about theology arguments..

I put this forum up so you guys could metal detect and express yourself and your religious beliefs in a way that are your private beliefs and no one would delete you for being a Christian or posting bible verses like the other old site used to do.

I don't think argueing theology will work here as there are lots of denominations, etc. that will never see eye to eye on everything. Can we get back to just being nice or do I need to put up another forum just for theological arguments to keep it basically nice in here? I'm sure the couple I'm aiming at knows who thet are. Let me know if I didn't quite word this right.

Thanks,

Guvner..

I would love to see the forum back on detecting and praying one for another as we have in the past. You have my support, Guv.

It just goes to prove that the bolded part below which is at that head of this message board is not understood by the unintelligent.

This forum is for posting your comments about metal detecting and to provide a place where you will be able to greet your friends and express your religious beliefs without fear of being singled out as a problem to your peers.

I really thought that what I had to say most recently would not be met with such hostility.

Just let the babies have their way Guv. Don't start another board. I'll just quit posting on this board since the immature can't handle the truth and single me out as a problem to my peers.

I have absolutely no clue as to what happened or who said what but, be it politics or religion, there's always going to be someone who's point of view is the only way. I've been on this board for over 2 years and this kind of problem is very rare. This is a wonderful board and those that have been around for a long time know how to handle themselves properly as they are deeply rooted in the Christian faith. People on this board go out of their way NOT to offend anyone. You're right, there are so many denominations with so many doctrines... we have to be sensitive to that.

and was hoping for open and educational fellowship.
It is not my place to yay or nay any decisions here.
I apollogize to everyone for causing or creating any dissruptions here.
I will happily agree with and go along with whatever choice is made by the majority.

That kind of sounded like sour grapes! We can all participate without one of us taking the ball and going home. You have interesting input....I cant say that I agree with your theology, but thats ok. You still seem to be a good person, that has nice comments to make about and to others. Just stick around and see what happens.

Your words are very kind. I appreciate you and what you say. But like the Guv stated, with so many different church backgrounds it is just not possible to say anything without someone taking offense and branding me a cultist or new ager or so unclean that they must wipe the dust off their feet.
It is obvious that what I have to say seemingly threatens the theology of certain ones here. It's not sour grapes. It's just the way it is.

All someone basically asked was "does baptism save?" Under this current administration of grace, faith saves (1 Cor.15:1-4), not baptism in water. And what happened? Someone got bent all out of shape. According to the Guv, people wrote to him complaining.

I asked God to smite the Christians here with joy and peace. You'd have thought that would have been met with smiles. It was meant in the kindest of ways. But no. People had to complain and foam at the mouth and nip at the heels.

Anyway, we will see. I might stick around.

Again, rentasquid, thanks for your very kind words. You are such a nice person. Someday I hope to meet you. If not on earth, in heaven.

Tony
