Until today I have never found a silver/clad coin spill. I thought this was odd and posted this question on the explorer forum a few years ago and several had found a coin spill that included both clad and silver. But not me.
I've found seated with barber, barber with mercs, mercs with rosies; not sure I've ever found a spill that skipped a generation, i.e. seated with merc. But I have found 1850s seated with 1910s barber, quite the time spread.
But amazingly after thousands of silver finds and who knows how many clad, no clad with silver until today, and only once memorial pennies (all pre 1964 dates) with silver. This tells me that silver must have disappeared from circulation VERY quickly.
What is your experience?
The silver was a 1964 dime- one year younger than me, didn't corral out the co-located clad but it was a dime also, found three clad dimes today, will have to go through my pouch and see what dates are.
