Its tough sometimes detecting when you have diabetes!

Its tough getting out and swinging the 350 when my feet hurt and my sugar drops to double digits, I don't know if any of you have to deal with this, but it sure is great to get out and swing when you can, this is a great hobby to love! :garrett: #1

Have the same problem try to not let it take over the fun of detecting.
After my heart problem in 2003 was diagnose as type 2.
Medication and lifestyle keeping it at bay.

Glad to hear that,it is a life changer! Thumbs up!

Yep I have type 2 also I carry m&m's with me in my pack and when I'm relic hunting hunting I carry canteen backpack with carbs to snack on, and I wear special tennis shoes most of the time.

[size=large]it wouldn't surprise me if most of the old guys on the forums have to deal with it. I've been diabetic since 1985. my lack of control, using candy and donuts for carb control, put me under the heart by-pass knife. now I'm in very tight control. fresh fruits and orange juice and diet keep me in the field. I've just started to re-swing after my surgery of last nov. no more candy, fries, sugar, burgers donuts ect. i've lost 37 Lbs so far. you must do the same. and you can. you do owe it to yourself and your machine. who's gunna swing it/ them when you're gone?

I've had diabetes for over 30 years and heart trouble since 1994. I've had back problems (3 surgery) for about 5 years. This back problem may shut me down.

Hope the best for ya John!
