IT'S SPRING BREAK.....Enough clad for lunch,and a 10k ring this morning

Well, spring break is getting started here in the sunshine state. Not in full swing yet,but off to a good start.
Got out in the early hours b4 the sun came up.... with this DST keeping it dark to 7:30AM,It will take some getting used to!
With my newly replaced 5x10,HF coil I was hitting the fresh dropped clad ($7.87 total, and a Singapore dime) right away.Ran into a couple of other MDers from out of state(NH) and another from Canada.Gave them a few tips on where to eat and hunt.
It seemed it was going to be a clad and tab morning till i got a quick repeated beep,beep,beep...Like you were going over a pull tab or piece of small foil that was right on top the ground, even the TID was a 4...but,at the beach you check everything..either dig it or kick it with your foot, never know!...As luck would have it...It was a 10k insignia ring (2.7g)...The first gold(white) ring i found with the 705 since i got it 14 months ago.Hope they get bigger from now on.
I found the ring behind a resort in an area where lounge chairs are placed out for guests by an attendant.Being that it was an obvious fresh drop,I gave the attendant my number.
With the 705/5x10 DD HF Elliptical coil,I found alot of junk rings...silver rings...and lost gold rings for others this past year...this little 10k is just the beginning with more to come i hope!!...HH GL

Nice ring! Also nice to find enough clad for a decent lunch. If I don't find any jewelry when I hunt then I look at my coin totals and if there is enough to buy a sandwich and a drink then it's been a better day because any day MD'ing is a good day!

Congrat's on the gold ring and that's pretty cool that you gave the attendant your number. It's always fun to be able to return a lost ring if you can.

I think I know who the ring belongs to.....

Spring break coming up in less than two weeks. Heading for the Gulf Coast and looking forward to a little R and R and detecting. It's been a long winter and with the snow and frozen ground, no detecting this winter. Last winter was a different story with it's warmth and lack of snow in Central Indiana. Congrats on the finds. I have the fever!

Thanks for the comments all....I posted the ring on Craigslist for the past week with no response.I believe it is a class ring from the name engraved..S.McFadyen...12..BKIN...&..10k..cmc...I figure the A is the school??..Not Alvin..LOL..Not alot to go on...zabasearched the name,no luck..knowing what school the A represents would make it easy....;Might be the first class ring i can't return...GL HH

Will at least you tried and that's what counts.

I found a class ring from 1923 and I was not able to figure out what school it was. i'm sure the person was long gone but I was hoping to track down the family at least.
