It's been raining here steady for 24 hours now. Wrecks, some flooding (not me). It's OK, I'm on the night shift. It better clear up by Friday.:detecting:

It's been raining on and off all week and looks like it will continue a few days more.
Seems like every time I want to go out - the rain picks up

You better get on it:detecting:

What's a little drizzle. We've had about 35 days of rain. The past two days have been beautiful but cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey. I tried to go out yesterday, hit a playground and lasted all of five minutes before I turned into a popcicle. It was a little below 30 degrees with about a 25 MPH wind. Today was sunny but even colder with a worse wind. I froze going out to get the paper. Just talked to my brother-in-law in Murrieta and it's raining there but they need it.

Bill
Drizzle? We have had over 6 inches this month. Probably 4-6" in the last 3 days. Cold and windy too:cry: I will be off for the weekend but it looks like it's supposed to rain through Monday:cry: again.

We are getting hammered with rain here too mate! (Queensland Australia) Big floods at the moment and more expected to come. It's not so bad for me where I'm located but we are also getting our fair share of rain. It's not a good thing for a motorbike rider like myself  At least the ground is soft for digging
Cheers!

No nuggets where I live. The creeks only run after good rains then go dry. They have been running good. I'll be down there next week looking for old bottles and rocks.

Can't wait to get out there John! Should be alot of fun! I love detecting the gutters on the beach after a massive storm, the only problem with that is though there's too many beaches and too little time!
Cheers!

You can't be that far from the gold.

Yeah I been watching all the folks stranded on the Grapevine and they are to get more snow. One woman spent 6.5 hours in her car with no heat. She was a bit frosty.

I remember the original Grapevine and traveled over it as a kid. It was a treacherous piece of road and claimed many a truckers life. Parts of it could still be seen years ago high up on the edge of the cuts for the current highway. It was only two lanes and crooked as a barrel of snakes - hence the name Grapevine. Global warming is catching up to you guys.:)
Where do these creeks run from? I've panned gold out of streams I could step across.

Bill
From the foothills. No gold in my area Bill. I'm about 5 hours from the Mother Lode.

Yea about the only thing you can hope got washed down in the creeks is a nice arrow head or some agate.
