Mine should be here next week sometimes. I moved up to the MXSport and 6x10 coil from a hyper detector.

The MXSport does everything the hyper one did only better (from what I've heard). What's not to like. It has more features. I like the all metal/prospecting mode with iron grunt. I've only seen one other that did that. The Treasure Baron Gold Trax.

I can't wait.

Mine's at the factory for the firmware upgrade and, when it gets back, I'll be going like gangbusters (fingers crossed). All I've wanted, for many years now, is a waterproof MXT so, if i can equal the MXT, I'll be one happy puppy. Kinda sux that it doesn't have a very granular disc. system, but I'll learn to live with it.

I still have a couple of Goldtrax units, one stock one modified.

I agree, the GoldTrax all metal staccato is great. Here's a pic of the modified one, push pad is separated from the module and mounted above the handgrip. Module remained on the rear housing, well balanced. One of s kind Goldtrax, she's a hot one.

With the MX Sport, like having a waterproof Goldtrax.

I put the Gold Trax in a small backpack and would take it in the water to almost chest deep. It found me some tiny jewelry. The MXSport is going to be nice.

I hunt in all metal and prospecting mode. I tried the c/j with 20 tones just for giggles. Drove me nuts. Went back to 4 tones. But my favorite is prospecting with s.a.t. at 5-6. This is one heck of a unit
