Just got my brand new G2 today. If anyone can share some do's/dont's/ tips or wisdom on this unit....I'm all ears. Thanks.

Buy the 10x5 or 5" coil and a nel / detech 13" , dust Cover, protect headphone jacks .
Set tone break to 40 - you need to here the iron, NEVER go over this Point.
Groundbalance is essential -READ the manual how to do this.
If you have deep iron Sounds at 35-40 remove the first Layer of dirt, when the sound goes higher or the vid grow.
My best nonferrous targets are in vid 70-75 range.
Have fun and forgive me the bad english.

Thanks Ezer..............a friend of mine recommended I go to Disc "45" ....he says at that setting the "0-10" section is not heard anymore because it is eliminated. And according to him this small addional disc over 40...... gets rid of all the deeper rusty iron bits. Is there any meirt to this idea....I think I'm going to give this a shot.

I prefer only a tone break and the use of no Disc. The advantage is to keeping the best Performance and to hear all things under the coil. You will have masking effects with Disc.

You just got on heck of a detector. Get yourself a 13" ultimate & a NEL Attack coils for it. I've had a bunch of success with those civil war relic hunting. That machine loves buttons. I've dug some nice coins with it also. I run mine at break @40/ sensitivity @100/. Its super easy to set up & ground balancing is a snap. Its super quiet & pretty deep with a bigger after market coil on it. Good luck. HH TIM

the nel attack is only sightly bigger but 50% heavier than ultimate . why have you recommended the attack ,what can it do that ultimate can not ? i would have expected the two reccomended coils to be snake or sharpshooter and attack or ultimatefor deep stuff.
