by "accident" I found a Barber quarter hiding in a old makeup compact the other day...
well this morning I made it official! I found my first Barber dime!
started early this morning at the old farmhouse, found a few wheats, two rosies a merc and a LC. then I went to a early 1900's house and found the Barber, and another merc along with some clad and a few wheats.
overall a great day for me...

thanks, the LC was a PITA! it was about 5"-6" trapped between pine roots with one rusty nail...in rang in at 1-45 but would jump to 35-45 in quickmask...I determined that it sounded good so I went for it...took about ten minutes of digging and cutting to get close to it. once I pulled the nail the LC wasn't far behind. I actually think I see a rust stain on the back of the LC.

Hey those are some great finds! Way to go on the first barber dime!

What is the Date on the LC?

Eva, I havent a clue...it is pretty worn maybe 1884 or 1894? I miss hunting with you, but it is the right time to hit all my Private homes I have been waiting on... weather permitting I am MDing a 1850 house on Friday...it is a one time shot so I hope I have good luck!

That Large has to be 1834 or 1824 because that looks like the Early Matron Head bust.
